This Privacy Policy explains how Facile, operated by Yakin Technologies ("Facile," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our church management software and related websites and services (the "Service"). It applies to churches and organizations that use Facile and to the individuals whose information they store in it.
Churches use Facile to manage their congregations. In doing so, our customers ("churches") act as the controllers of the data about their members, and Facile acts as a processor that handles that data on their behalf. This policy also covers information we collect directly from the administrators and visitors who interact with us.
We collect information in the following ways:
We use information to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; to authenticate users and secure accounts; to process payments; to provide support; to communicate about the Service; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
We share information only as needed to operate the Service: with service providers (such as hosting, payment, and messaging vendors) under contractual protections; with a church's own authorized users; when required by law; and in connection with a business transfer. Each church controls who within its organization can access its Customer Data.
We retain Customer Data for as long as a church's account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After an account is closed, we retain data for a limited period to allow export and then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer period is required by law.
We use technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and required multi-factor authentication for administrators. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continually to safeguard the data entrusted to us.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information. If your information is held by a church in Facile, please direct your request to that church, which controls the data; we will assist our customers in responding. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Churches may store records about children as part of ministry (for example, check-in). That data is controlled by the church and handled under its direction and consent practices. Facile does not knowingly collect information directly from children for its own purposes.
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. When we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
